Your Role
As an Export Sales Developer, you will develop new markets, strengthen partnerships, and maintain relationships with existing customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who has already earned their first stripes in a sales role and has the potential to step into a more strategic international commercial role. We are looking for someone with commercial insight and grit, who catches on quickly and wants to visibly contribute to the international growth of a strong Belgian company.
- Travel: You will spend approximately 25% of your time traveling to customers and production sites. The rest of the time, you will work from the head office in Oudenaarde.
- Target Groups: You will focus on three key customer groups: HVAC distribution companies, ventilation duct manufacturers, and industrial manufacturers of HVAC equipment.
- Sales Growth: You will acquire new customers, re-engage dormant accounts, and focus on up-selling and cross-selling with existing customers, thereby increasing market share, volume, and margin.
- Market Strategy: You will develop regional go-to-market strategies and provide input for the product portfolio, working in close cooperation with colleagues in Belgium, Poland, and Germany.
- Profitability: You will manage pricing strategies and sales margins, support distribution centers in setting up regional capabilities, and monitor both turnover and profitability.
- Marketing & Events: You will organize training sessions and marketing activities for customers and partners, and represent Vento at trade fairs and events.
- Reporting: You will report directly to the CCO.
Your Profile
- You hold a master's degree in a commercial, economic, or technical field and have your first relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or international markets.
- Thanks to your potential, maturity, and strong ability to learn, you are ready to independently manage international commercial processes within a relatively short timeframe.
- You are entrepreneurial and proactive, build long-term customer relationships, and know how to use your commercial insight to achieve smart, strategic results.
- You feel completely in your element in an international B2B context and switch smoothly between a wide range of stakeholders, from buyers and supply chain managers to technical profiles and engineers.
- You are driven by numbers: besides turnover, you have a solid grasp of margin management.
- Languages: You can express yourself fluently in Dutch, English, and French, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of German, Spanish, and/or Italian is a definite plus.
