ABOUT the ROLE
- Architect and develop secure embedded operating systems for high-security smartcard controllers
- Define JavaCard-based OS architecture, security concepts, and software components for smartcard platforms
- Work with state‑of‑the‑art microcontrollers, modern IDEs, and industry‑leading development frameworks
- Design and implement security-critical functionality, including authentication mechanism, cryptographic services, and secure data management
- Develop, integrate and support smartcard applications and applets
- Collaborate with leading global technology partners
- Support teams in integrating AI-assisted tools into secure development workflows e.g. code review, secure coding verification
- Provide technical guidance throughout the software lifecycle
Your PROFILE
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (University or University of Applied Sciences)
- Profound experience in smartcard OS and embedded security development, ideally in security-critial environments
- Solid knowledge of smartcard-related standards and protocols such as GlobalPlatform & JavaCard
- Experience using AI-based tools for software development and design
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Eclipse or Keil
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset as well as an independent, structured working style
- Familiarity with version control systems e.g. Git or SVN is an advantage
- Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus)

We offer for this position a package starting at € 70.000,- gross per year on a full-time basis. Depending on qualifications and professional experience a market-oriented overpayment is intended.
