Job Purpose:

Deliver high-quality technical support and administration across ICT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise networks. Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Apply in-depth knowledge of virtualization, hybrid cloud, automation, and enterprise networking to implement, maintaint and optimise ICT services in line with

MTNs Converged Solutions and ICT strategy.

Translate business and technical requirements into effective ICT solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot, resolve, and document technical issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Activities & Responsibilities

1. ICT Infrastructure Support & Administration

  • Provide operational support across ICT infrastructure platforms, including servers, enterprise storage, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware)
  • Participate in system upgrades, platform migrations, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to capacity planning, risk mitigation, and performance optimization across ICT systems

2. Cloud Systems Management

  • Administer hybrid cloud solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Manage resource provisioning, monitoring, and security within Azure environments

3. Network Management & Security

  • Configure and troubleshoot networks aligned with CCNA-level routing, switching, and IP services
  • Monitor and optimize LAN/WAN performance and network segmentation
  • Apply knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols

4. Microsoft Technologies Support

  • Support and maintain Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
  • Manage the lifecycle, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft-based solutions

5. IT Service Management (ITSM)

  • Apply ITIL-aligned change, incident, and problem management processes
  • Ensure high service availability and compliance with internal and external standards

6. Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues
  • Support delivery of ICT-related projects within defined timelines and scope

7. Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge repositories to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing

8. Automation & DNS Management

  • Implement automation solutions using tools such as Ansible
  • Manage DNS infrastructure (Bind and PowerDNS)

9. Linux Systems Support

  • Provide support, configuration, and troubleshooting for Linux-based systems
  • Apply knowledge aligned with LPI and/or RHCE certifications
  • Provide operational support across ICT infrastructure platforms, including servers, enterprise storage, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware)
  • Administer hybrid cloud systems and support Microsoft Azure environments, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and security management
  • Configure and troubleshoot networks aligned with CCNA-level routing, switching, and IP services, ensuring robust LAN/WAN performance and segmentation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise networks, applying knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols

Education, Skills and Experience

Education

  • Minimum 3-year Academic Degree
  • CCNA
  • LPI/RHCE
  • Azure AZ-104
  • Splunk – Power User - Advantageous
  • ITIL ¾
  • VMware VCP

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of managing and supporting large hybrid infrastructure landscapes.
  • Minimum 5 years ICT related Disciplines.
  • Work across diverse cultures and geographies
  • Proven track record of execution and delivery on enterprise-based solution within project timelines.
