Contract Medical Monitor – APAC Region
Location: APAC region – Australia, China, or surrounding APAC countries

Overview
We are currently supporting a clinical-stage biotechnology company in the appointment of an experienced Contract Medical Monitor to support international clinical study activity across the APAC region.
This is a 12-month contract assignment working on a 0.5 FTE basis. The role would suit a Medical Monitor based in Australia, China, or the wider APAC region, with strong experience supporting international clinical trials and study close-out activities.
Experience within CAR-T, cell therapy, oncology, or advanced therapies is required.
Responsibilities
The Medical Monitor will provide clinical and medical oversight across ongoing international studies, supporting the study team with medical review, patient safety oversight, and trial close-out activities.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Providing medical monitoring support for international clinical studies
- Supporting study close-out activities across APAC-region sites
- Reviewing clinical data, safety information, and medical queries
- Supporting protocol compliance and medical oversight throughout the study lifecycle
- Working closely with clinical operations, safety, data management, and study teams
- Providing medical input into study-related documentation and site/patient matters
- Supporting cross-functional communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring patient safety and data integrity throughout the assignment
Requirements
- Medical Doctor / Physician qualification
- Previous experience as a Medical Monitor within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments
- Strong experience supporting international clinical studies
- Experience with study close-out activities
- Current location within Australia, China, or the wider APAC region
- Strong understanding of clinical development, patient safety, and medical oversight
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with global study teams
- Experience within CAR-T, cell therapy, oncology, or advanced therapies would be highly desirable
