Vice President – Business Development

Role Purpose
The Vice President – Business Development is responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives aligned with Group strategy. The role drives sustainable growth through disciplined business development, investment evaluation, and cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development Strategy & Growth Planning
- Develop and execute Group business development strategy aligned with Corporate Strategy.
- Identify new growth engines, business models, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Translate strategic direction into a structured BD opportunity pipeline and roadmap.
- Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
2. Opportunity Evaluation & Investment Governance
- Oversee feasibility studies, business cases, and financial evaluations for new initiatives.
- Review and challenge assumptions related to market size, revenue, cost structure, and ROI.
- Ensure all BD initiatives align with Group strategic priorities and risk appetite.
- Present investment proposals and recommendations to EVP, Management, and relevant committees.
3. Partnerships, Alliances & M&A Support
- Lead strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaboration frameworks.
- Support M&A-related initiatives including target screening, strategic rationale, and synergy assessment.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and external advisors on due diligence and deal structuring.
- Negotiate key commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
4. Execution Oversight & Value Realizatio
- nOversee execution of approved business development initiatives and pilots
- .Ensure clear governance, KPIs, milestones, and ownership for each initiative
- .Monitor post-investment performance and value realization
- .Drive corrective actions where performance deviates from plan
.5. Leadership & Capability Developmen
