Assist Interventional Cardiologists during procedures such as CAG, PTCA, PCI, pacemaker implantation, balloon angioplasty, etc.
Prepare Cath Lab for procedures: patient readiness, sterile setup, consumables arrangement, and equipment calibration.
Operate Cath Lab systems including C-arm, monitor systems, injector, hemodynamic monitoring system, and related devices.
Ensure correct handling and management of catheters, guidewires, stents, balloons, contrast media, sheaths and disposables.
Monitor patient vitals through hemodynamic equipment and promptly escalate abnormalities to the clinical team.
Maintain strict asepsis & infection control practices, including sterile field maintenance.
Follow radiation safety protocols, use lead protection, dosimeters, and comply with safety regulations.
Maintain procedural documentation: patient logs, contrast usage, consumable register, radiation exposure logs, and reports.
Ensure preventive maintenance coordination for Cath Lab equipment and report breakdowns immediately.
Handle biomedical waste segregation and ensure compliance with NABH and statutory protocols.
Support emergency procedures including cardiac arrest management, CPR readiness, crash cart availability.
Ensure stock management and timely indenting of consumables and emergency devices.
Qualifications
Diploma / B.Sc. in Cath Lab Technology / Cardiac Care Technology / Radiology & Imaging Technology
