Chief Information Officer (CIO)

SF Technology Partners has been retained to appoint a Chief Information Officer for a highly successful, acquisitive UK business undergoing significant growth and transformation.

Operating across multiple sites with a complex operational & logistics network. Following a number of successful acquisitions and with further growth planned, the organisation is seeking a commercially focused technology leader to help shape the next phase of its evolution.

The CIO will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the Group technology strategy, supporting acquisition integration, enhancing data and analytics capability, modernising core business systems and enabling scalable growth across the wider organisation.

This is an opportunity to join a business where technology is viewed as a strategic enabler of growth rather than a support function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Group technology roadmap
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on technology strategy and investment
  • Lead evaluation & integration of newly acquired businesses, systems and data.
  • Develop a scalable technology architecture supporting future growth
  • Drive data, reporting and analytics capability to improve operational and commercial decision making.
  • Lead business systems optimisation and integration across a multi-entity, multi-site environment.
  • Build strong governance, cyber security and technology standards
  • Develop and lead a high-performing technology function.

Essential experience:

  • Experience operating at CIO, CTO, Group IT Director level.
  • Delivered large-scale technology and business transformation & modernisation programmes.
  • Worked within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering or other multi site operationally intensive environments.
  • Experience evaluating & integrating acquisitions and managing complex business technology landscapes
  • Strong understanding of ERP, business systems, data and analytics.
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to technology leadership.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building experience
