About EliotNest
The U.S. government loses hundreds of billions of dollars every year to fraud — in healthcare reimbursements, trade and tariff evasion, government loans, and relief programs. The data needed to uncover this fraud exists in payments, public filings, contracts, and ownership records, but it’s scattered across systems, inconsistent, and hard to connect at scale.
EliotNest builds the intelligence platform that turns that data into evidence. We unify and transform messy datasets, resolve entities and ownership, and surface patterns that support investigations. Our platform helps prosecutors, law enforcement, and investigative agencies identify complex fraud schemes, trace ownership webs, and build stronger cases against bad actors.
We’re a small, technical founding team with deep experience in data systems, public integrity, and prosecution. We’re building a product that fundamentally expands the government’s capacity to pursue fraud and protect the public. We raised a $9.5M seed round in 2025 and we’re seeking exceptional talent to expand our team.
The Role
A blend of data engineer, analytics engineer, and product-minded full-stack builder. You’ll work closely with former prosecutors to understand how real investigations work, then translate that into data systems and products.
You’ll own core infrastructure across the stack — with a heavy emphasis on data modeling, ingestion, analysis, and internal tools that help us understand fraud faster. As one of our first engineers, you’ll shape our long-term architecture, technical standards, and product capabilities, and your decisions will compound as the team and platform grow. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who loves data, investigations, and building systems that drive positive public impact.
