Overview

We are partnering with a leading global financial services institution to hire an experienced Vice President – Tax Operations to join a high-impact function within a global custody and wealth services environment.

This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to lead a critical tax operations team, drive operational excellence, strengthen controls, and deliver transformation initiatives within a globally recognised organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Tax Operations across global withholding tax, tax treaties, Relief at Source, tax reclaims, FATCA/CRS (AEOI), 1446f, and tax form validation
  • Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of day-to-day operational processing, reconciliations, controls, and client service delivery
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex operational, client, and risk-related issues
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Partner with clients and senior internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance service delivery
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Client Service functions to strengthen controls and support strategic initiatives
  • Maintain oversight of KPIs, KRIs, and operational metrics, driving data-led decision-making

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience within Financial Services Operations, ideally within custody, asset servicing, or investment operations
  • Proven expertise in Tax Operations, including withholding tax, tax reclaims, FATCA/CRS, 1446f, and tax form validation
  • Good understanding of Dividends and Corporate Actions
  • Strong experience in reconciliations, controls, and operational risk management
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing and developing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and operate at pace in high-volume environments
  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, including MI reporting
