Description

Positioned as a critical success factor for the entire initiative, you will serve as the on-the-ground bridge between the prime contractor and the customer in Luanda. You will drive local coordination, monitor complex technical milestones, and oversee community-strengthening initiatives that ensure the satellite system delivers long-term public value.

Responsibilities

Customer & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary local point of contact for the Customer, building a collaborative, trust-based relationship to ensure aligned expectations

Milestone & Delivery Tracking: Monitor and safeguard the progress of major critical project timelines, ensuring high-quality execution toward key milestones

  • Ground Segment Delivery: Targeted for August 2028
  • In-Orbit Test Review: Targeted for September 2029for the 1 S250 "CO3D-like" satellite

Infrastructure & Operations Management: Oversee the local implementation and modifications required at the current Satellite Control Center in Funda to successfully deploy the incoming ANGEO-1 Ground Segment

Socio-Economic Initiative Rollout: Coordinate the operationalization of the "Community of Practices" (CoP) initiative, establishing 21 access points across Angolan provinces to make Earth Observation data accessible as a public good.

Required skills

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Portuguese AND highly proficient in either English or French to seamlessly handle complex technical and diplomatic correspondence.
  • Communication Style: An approachable, direct communicator who excels at translating technical project updates into transparent, collaborative conversations with government officials and cross-functional team
  • Project Governance: Strong cross-functional coordination, risk management, and multi-stakeholder alignment capabilities

Required experience

  • Showcases a proven background with demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder engineering, IT, or aerospace infrastructure programs.
  • Has led transformation and implementation projects (i.e., satellite ground segment installations, infrastructure modifications, or large-scale data rollout initiatives).
  • Brings experience in aerospace, satellite manufacturing, or telecommunications infrastructure (prior exposure to similar satellite programs such as Alsat, ZACube, EOSSAT, NigeriaSat, CO3D, SSOT, or VNREDSat-1 is a major asset)

Required education

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
  • MSc, MBA, or advanced certifications in Project Management preferred.
