This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, where employees across Canada support engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air and sea.

Specific Job Description:

We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who can operate effectively across both executional and strategic domains. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable managing day-to-day HR administration and processes while also acting as a trusted advisor to leaders navigating complex and evolving business challenges.

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Partner with leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable people strategies
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness
  • Navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities, offering practical, balanced HR guidance in complex situations
  • Coach leaders on performance management, team effectiveness, change leadership, and employee engagement

Operational Excellence & Administration

  • Execute and manage HR processes with precision, including:
  • Talent reviews, succession planning & performance management cycles
  • Compensation and salary planning, promotions and workforce changes
  • Serve as a hands-on operator ensuring HR programs are implemented accurately, on time, and aligned to policy
  • Maintain strong HR governance, documentation, and system updates
  • Partner with HR Centres of Expertise (COEs) to deliver integrated solutions

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Act as a trusted, confidential resource for employees and leaders on workplace concerns
  • Manage employee relations issues with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Champion Lockheed Martin’s culture and values, ensuring a fair, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
  • Support organizational change initiatives and workforce transitions

Collaboration & Integration

  • Work effectively within a matrixed, global HR model, partnering with Canadian, U.S., and international HR teams
  • Integrate multiple perspectives and inputs to deliver cohesive, enterprise-aligned solutions
  • Influence across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior leadership

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partner/generalist capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR practices
  • Experience in employee relations and organizational change support
  • Demonstrated experience managing both administrative HR work and strategic initiatives
  • Comfort working in a matrixed and fast-paced environment.
