Job description:
Cloud Application Architect
Remote||Fulltime ||
Primary skills: Cloud Platforms
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of cloud-native services across both providers
- Very Strong in SQL
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across products within the portfolio
- Translate business and product needs into application, integration, data and deployment designs
- Define architectural patterns, standards and guardrails to drive consistency and reuse
- Design cloud-native solutions on Azure and GCP with focus on scalability, resilience, security and multi-tenancy
- Act as the architectural authority during delivery, supporting technical decisions and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers and security stakeholders to enable predictable delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years in IT, including 3+ years as Solution Architect, Senior Application Architect or Lead Engineer
- Proven track record of designing solutions for multiple products
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences
Cloud Platforms
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of cloud-native services across both providers
Application & Development
- Solid experience with .NET including understanding of its complex aspects such as concurrency, memory management and performance tuning
- Strong grasp of object-oriented and asynchronous programming patterns
- Familiarity with API design and dependency injection
Data
- Deep understanding of SQL including query optimization, indexing strategies and schema design
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases
Architecture Fundamentals
- Modern cloud-native architecture designs including microservices, event-driven and serverless patterns
- Multi-tenant solution design with logical/physical data isolation
- Scalability, availability and resilience patterns
- Cost-aware architecture and capacity planning
Security
- Very good knowledge of cloud security including identity, authorization, secrets management and secure data handling
- Good grasp of threat modeling and layered security
Operational Awareness
- CI/CD concepts
- Environment separation and release considerations
- Production support and operability considerations
