About the role
As our new Manager Platform Integration, you'll be part of the Technology Data, Integration and Innovation team. You'll lead the strategy, delivery, and operations of our integration platform, built on Azure Integration Services and Confluent for event streaming.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage a team of integration developers responsible for API, event, and workflow integration delivery.
- Own the integration platform architecture based on Azure Integration Services and Confluent, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain the integration roadmap, aligned to enterprise architecture and business priorities.
- Oversee the design, development, security, and governance of APIs, event streams, and workflow integrations.
- Ensure strong practices across API management (versioning, lifecycle, documentation, policy enforcement) and event streaming (topics, schemas, retention, partitioning).
- Work closely with security, data, and architecture teams to ensure alignment with governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage day to day operations of the integration platform, including monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, and performance tuning.
- Champion reuse of integration components, patterns, and shared services across the organisation.
- Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and platform cost management (FinOps).
- Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing development for integration team members.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a leader who brings our values to life — someone passionate about building and scaling high-performing integration platforms that enable better business outcomes.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience managing integration platforms and/or development of teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Functions).
- Strong knowledge of Confluent or Apache Kafka for event streaming, including schema management, topic design, and distributed streaming patterns.
- Experience delivering secure, resilient API and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, network controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into integration patterns and platform capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services) with awareness of security, audit, and data handling requirements.
- Proficiency with CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
