About the Role

The Siegfried Group partners with Fortune 500 and large public company finance leaders on complex accounting, financial reporting, and finance transformation projects. We're looking for Big 4-trained external auditors who are ready to trade the traditional audit cycle for high-impact, project-based advisory work — without leaving technical accounting behind.

This is not a corporate accounting role. You'll work directly alongside senior finance leadership at some of the largest companies in the country, tackling the problems that matter most to CFOs and Controllers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and execute strategic accounting and financial reporting projects for large public company clients
• Apply deep U.S. GAAP expertise to complex, ambiguous situations with real business stakes
• Work directly with client CFOs, Controllers, and their teams — you are their trusted expert in the room
• Bring audit rigor and judgment to advisory engagements across technical accounting, restatements, IPO readiness, M&A integration, and finance transformation
• Operate across multiple engagements simultaneously, building breadth alongside depth

What We're Looking For

Non-negotiable:

• Big 4 only — PwC, EY, Deloitte, or KPMG
• External audit / assurance as your core background — this is not a fit for internal audit, FP&A, tax, or industry accounting
• 3–6 years of total professional experience
• 3 or more full busy seasons completed
• Direct experience auditing large, complex clients — public companies (SEC registrants), Fortune 1000, or large PE-backed entities
• Strong U.S. GAAP foundation built through financial statement audits

Strongly preferred:

• CPA licensed or CPA-eligible
• PCAOB and/or SEC client exposure
• Experience leading audit teams or serving as audit in-charge
• Exposure to SOX / ICFR, IPO readiness, or M&A
