For our subsidiary in Zwolle, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join the Supply Chain team.
The candidate, reporting directly to Supply Chain & Production Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the feasibility of customer orders by balancing demand, production capacity and material availability, while coordinating raw material planning to guarantee efficient and reliable supply chain operations.
Specifically, the role will focus on the following activities:
- Assess customer order feasibility considering production capacity and material availability
- Develop and maintain production & supply plans
- Define raw material requirements based on demand, production planning and safety stock
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers and manage the open order book to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply
- Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to meet service levels while minimizing excess
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams
- Manage and update planning parameters and master data in SAP
- Proactively identify supply risks and implement mitigation actions
- Support S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or material planning
- Strong knowledge of MRP, capacity planning and inventory management principles
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP knowledge strongly preferred)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
