About the role

The Senior Buyer – Raw & Packaging Materials is responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and management of raw and packaging materials used in Vestacy products produced at external manufacturing (EM) partners.

A core accountability of this role is to design, build, and maintain a centralized BOM and spend database, enabling visibility of total material consumption across multiple contract manufacturers. This role will leverage aggregated volume to negotiate optimized commercial terms, unlocking economies of scale across a fragmented external manufacturing network.

The position combines hands-on sourcing execution with strategic data-driven procurement transformation, partnering closely with Global Buyers, External Manufacturing and R&D.

Your responsibilities

BOM & Spend Data Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain a centralized BOM database for externally manufactured products
  • Consolidate and validate material specifications, volumes, and supplier data across EM partners
  • Ensure high data integrity and standardization across systems
  • Generate insights on total spend, price variance, and consolidation opportunities
  • Use data to build negotiation strategies and support decision-making

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw and packaging materials aligned with Vestacy business objectives
  • Lead RFQs, tenders, benchmarking to secure competitive cost and terms
  • Leverage total Vestacy demand across multiple manufacturers to negotiate improved pricing, rebates, and conditions
  • Support gross margin expansion and cost-saving initiatives

External Manufacturer Collaboration

  • Partner with contract manufacturers to influence material sourcing strategies and ensure alignment with Vestacy agreements
  • Drive adoption of preferred suppliers, materials, and pricing structures
  • Support new product development and onboarding ensuring optimal cost structures from inception
  • Balance local manufacturing needs with global procurement leverage

Supplier Management

  • Develop and manage a robust supplier base capable of supporting growth and innovation
  • Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and reliability
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain competitive tension while building strategic partnerships

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of procurement experience in raw materials, packaging, or external manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers or multi-site supply networks strongly preferred
  • Proven track record in negotiations and cost savings delivery
  • Strong financial analysis demonstrated in previous positions.
  • Experience with data tools, ERP systems, or spend analytics platforms preferred

US pay transparency

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
