Description
A specialist finance and accounting advisory firm is looking to appoint a Managing Director to join its senior leadership team.
This is a senior client-facing role, working closely with C-suite executives across large corporates, mid-market businesses and high-growth companies. The role will involve leading complex advisory engagements, building long-term client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Lead high-impact finance and accounting advisory engagements across a range of sectors
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior clients on technical accounting, transaction support and regulatory reporting
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to expand the firm’s market presence
- Oversee engagements from scoping through to delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs
- Work with executive teams and auditors to resolve complex accounting issues
- Deliver financial and regulatory reporting support in line with relevant requirements
- Drive business development through market relationships and new client opportunities
- Mentor and develop teams across multiple levels
- Contribute to thought leadership, training and firm-wide knowledge sharing
Candidate profile
- ACA, ACCA, CPA and/or MBA qualified
- 14+ years’ experience across accounting, finance, advisory or consulting
- Big 4 background highly desirable
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP
- Experience advising senior stakeholders on complex reporting or accounting matters
- Strong client relationship management and business development capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, commercially minded and able to lead multiple engagements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
