Our client is a global leader in energy technology and services, supporting the oil and gas industry through advanced solutions that enhance exploration, production, and operational efficiency.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a reliable Electronic Technician Trainee to join their team in Coevorden. The successful candidate will support the workshop and field teams in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of electronic, electromechanical, and control‑system‑related equipment used in both onshore and offshore operations.

This role is ideal for recent technical graduates or early career technicians who want to build solid hands on skills in electronics, diagnostics, sensors, and control systems. The trainee will assist in routine maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and equipment testing, while also supporting offshore assignments and call outs when required.

Job Profile for Electronic Technician Trainee

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support daily maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic assemblies and components under supervision
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues related to sensors, control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment
  • Support calibration, functional testing, and verification of electronic systems
  • Participate in offshore trips to perform electronic maintenance and commissioning activities
  • Support emergency call outs, including occasional evenings, nights, or weekends
  • Assist with documentation of maintenance tasks, reports, and data entry in accordance with internal procedures
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical and hydraulic teams during cross functional maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Contribute to CoSD initiatives, including refurbishment, diagnostics improvements, and component reuse projects

Candidate Profile for Electronic Technician Trainee

  • Must be fluent in Dutch & English, both written and spoken
  • MBO degree in electronic, electromechanical, mechatronics, or similar
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Electromechanical background is preferred, to support cross‑training across mechanical and electrical tasks
  • Experience in maintenance, offshore operations, or industrial environments is a plus
  • Practical mindset with hands‑on mechanical work and problem‑solving
  • Willingness to work offshore and travel to other locations
