Job Scope
The Logistics Officer is accountable for overseeing the outbound operations and inventory management. S/He maintains communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage outbound activities for customer orders;
- Manage outbound shipments, follow up with clearing and forwarding agents and monitor the turnaround time (TAT);
- Process and document letter of credit (LC) for shipments;
- Coordinate and arrange transportation of shipments to destination;
- Track shipments and update customers on a timely basis;
- Cooperate with the sales and warehouse teams for smooth execution of shipments;
- Coordinate with clearing agents and customs to maximize efficiency in terms of time and quality;
- Verify customs documentations for exports and transfer of ownership;
- Manage the stock movement through the warehouse management system;
- Perform monthly stock audits;
- Coordinate with the Sales Administration and credit teams for invoicing customer orders;
- Prepare and maintain the warehouse petty cash.
