What You Will Do

Volvo Trucks Southern Africa is offering an exciting opportunity for a graduate to get exposure in various Business Control functions as described below.

Job Objectives

• Management cost control.
• Monthly Financial Reporting.
• Journal posting / review on SAP accounting system.
• Reporting financial results on company's reporting system (VGCS system).
• Detailed financial analyses vs Plan / Budget.
• Preparing and presenting results to Business Control team overseas.
• Preparing financial forecast / budget.
• Property, Plant and Equipment investment management.
• Adhering and complying to company financial policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a strong Internal Control environment.
• Compliance with Internal / External audits.
• Cost Deployment (company tool utilized to reduce waste / loss, cost and increase productivity).
• Engage with Operation teams on interactive tasks.
• Other Finance related tasks as assigned.

Freight logistics (Service Center).

• Compile freight cost reports through engagement with suppliers (DSV, DHL etc.) and SC team.
• Review and analyze freight costs for accuracy and completeness.
• Arrange for payment of freight charges.
• Customer interactions.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Ad-hoc

• Procurement process (raising Purchase Orders, securing delivery of goods etc.).
• Managing spend and usage of miscellaneous items (i.e. stationery, consumables, refreshments etc.).
• Solution focused collaborations with various business areas (Sales, Finance, Real estate etc.) within the Volvo Group.
• Other tasks as assigned periodically.

• Diploma / Degree in Finance related studies.
