About the Opportunity

PARC Engineering is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team with immediate start. In this hands-on role, you'll support the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial processes. Based in our Applecross Head Office, this is a casual/temp position with the possibility to go full-time for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the accounts payable and receivable functions of the business.
  • Prepare and issue invoices & purchase orders to clients.
  • Contribute to the overall integrity, accuracy, completeness and timelines of billing and receivables.
  • Liaise with clients and financial institutions to action and support account related queries.
  • Perform Bank Reconciliations.
  • Maintain the accounts and customer database & update customer information as needed.
  • Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date and stored appropriately.
  • Perform debtor review and follow ups.
  • Assist with preparation of month-end and year-end financial reporting and submission.
  • Assist in setting up new debtor and creditor accounts in the system, completing credit applications and approval process.
  • Assist the payroll team with collation of timesheets, updating employee, sub-contractor and supplier information.

Role Requirements:

  • Must have previous accounts or bookkeeper experience.
  • Experience using PRONTO software & MYOB account right.
  • Strong Database knowledge including Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience within mining or construction industries is desirable.
