At Eni, we are looking for a Reservoir Engineer to join Eni Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan. You will support reservoir engineering and production activities through data analysis, reservoir surveillance, and the generation of development scenarios, contributing to field performance optimisation and efficient reservoir management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support reservoir surveillance activities, including monitoring of production and injection performance, tracking reservoir pressure behaviour, and identifying well performance trends.
  • Perform quality control (QC) and analysis of production, well test, and pressure data.
  • Contribute to the preliminary interpretation of well tests and production performance, assisting in identifying production issues and potential formation damage.
  • Support the definition of well interventions aimed at optimising well productivity.
  • Participate in drilling and production activity follow-up.
  • Contribute to the development of simplified reservoir models, including material balance (MBAL) and basic volumetric evaluations.
  • Build and maintain well models using PROSPER for well performance analysis and production optimisation.
  • Support the preparation of development scenarios and forecasts, integrating MBAL models and PROSPER well models.
  • Assist in planning dynamic data acquisition and preparing technical documentation for production and workover activities.

Skills And Experience Required

Qualifications and experience:

  • Engineering degree.
  • Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry; some experience in Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering is preferred.

Required Competencies

  • Well data acquisition and evaluation: geology, drilling well programmes, wireline formation testing (RFT), well test design and field follow-up, PVT sampling design.
  • Reservoir characterisation: reservoir geometry definition, 3D geological modelling, geostatistical reservoir characterisation, petrophysics.
  • Reservoir modelling: material balance (p/z, 1D modelling), 3D model initialisation, capillary pressure application, evaluation and normalisation, field and well completion scheme design, forecasting techniques, reservoir uncertainty and risk analysis, technical reserves evaluation, improved oil recovery techniques, compaction and subsidence modelling.
  • Well production: well testing, well performance analysis and diagnosis, artificial lift, production data analysis, decline curve analysis, optimisation of production and injection rates, production planning and work programmes.
