Role Description The Chief of Security is a full-time, on-site role based in Milan, NM, responsible for overseeing all security operations within the facility. This role manages security staff, develops and enforces security policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards. Daily responsibilities include supervising shift operations, monitoring facility access and perimeter security, reviewing incident reports, and coordinating responses to security events or emergencies. The Chief of Security collaborates with facility leadership, government partners, and external agencies to maintain a safe, secure, and humane environment for staff, visitors, and individuals in custody. The role also involves conducting security audits, leading training on security and emergency protocols, and recommending improvements in technology, processes, and staffing to mitigate risk and enhance operational effectiveness.
