Mid Kansas Cooperative (MKC) is seeking a Rail Terminal Manager to lead operations at our state-of-the-art, fully automated grain rail loading facility. This role is responsible for driving safety, efficiency, grain quality, and an exceptional customer experience while leading and developing a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all terminal operations, including grain handling, rail loading, maintenance, and safety
- Supervise full-time, part-time, and transfer employees, including performance and development
- Manage grain quality, grading, storage, blending, and fumigation as needed
- Coordinate rail loading schedules and meet railroad time requirements
- Maintain facility, equipment, and housekeeping to the highest standards
- Lead daily safety talks and ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues as they arise
What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Hands-on knowledge of grain handling equipment and terminal operations
- Experience with rail loading and grain quality/grading preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work variable schedules based on rail timing
- Ability to obtain a grain fumigation license
