About the Company

An established and fast-growing industrial clean‑technology company is seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of complex wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. This role focuses on delivering engineered systems from design through construction and commissioning for industrial and food & beverage clients.

About the Role

The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in the execution of industrial wastewater and process treatment projects
  • Coordinate internal engineering resources, vendors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
  • Select and specify pumps, process equipment, valves, and instrumentation
  • Manage and track project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers on technical requirements, quality, and delivery schedules
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, revisions, and record packages
  • Interface with permitting authorities, inspectors, and regulatory agencies as required
  • Provide on-site support during construction, installation, and commissioning
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system and integration challenges during startup

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience executing complex industrial or wastewater treatment projects
  • Experience with aerobic and/or anaerobic digestion systems and supporting subsystems
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects with capital values typically $1M+
  • Experience working directly with vendors, contractors, and field personnel (electrical, piping, mechanical)
  • Strong understanding of process engineering, system integration, and field execution
  • Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, fast‑paced project environments
