Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to support service activities for our GLI systems within the Gyeongnam region. In the short term, you will play a key role in assisting with the commissioning of new systems for a major customer (HMC Ulsan), ensuring seamless service support both before and after final acceptance.
As a regional engineer, you will act as the vital link on-site—proactively handling maintenance, reporting field conditions to the Skill Team Leader, and collaborating closely with our global GLI Headquarters for technical support. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer to gain hands-on technical ownership and grow within a leading-edge global environment.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Tasks
On-Site Service & Project Coordination
- Steer & Coordinate: Lead and coordinate daily on-site service, commissioning, and maintenance activities for GLI systems.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report the progress of all service cases transparently to both internal management and external customers.
- Milestone Delivery: Ensure all specific customer demands and regional regulatory milestones are met successfully.
Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Technical Ownership: Serve as the on-site technical point of contact for GLI systems, proactively diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Feedback Loop: Provide valuable on-site insights and feedback to engineering teams to drive continuous product and process improvement.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Client Interface: Act as a reliable point of contact for the customer, clarifying technical requirements during routine service tasks.
- Global Collaboration: Maintain regular communication and manage technical support tickets (e-cases) with local suppliers and the global GLI Headquarters.
Safety & Compliance
- Safety First: Ensure strict compliance with all corporate and regional safety standards.
- Site Briefings: Conduct safety and operational briefings for on-site personnel, including both internal staff and third-party contractors.
Profile Description
- Experience Level: Junior-level candidates are highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
- Language Skills: Conversational or professional English proficiency is required to effectively collaborate with global GLI Headquarters.
- Location: Must currently reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the Ulsan / Gyeongnam region.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid Driver’s License (essential for regional travel).
- Tools: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical reporting.
