The Program Technical Manager is a senior role responsible for leading the overall technical execution and convergence of vehicle programs throughout development, industrialization, and launch.

This role ensures that all technical activities are aligned with program objectives and that vehicle programs achieve their Quality, Cost, Timing, Performance, Complexity, and Industrialization targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership to Technical Managers within the assigned vehicle program(s).
  • Establish technical governance and ensure consistent application of development processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Monitor technical progress across all vehicle systems and ensure achievement of program milestones.
  • Drive technical maturity reviews and readiness assessments throughout development and industrialization phases.
  • Ensure effective coordination between vehicle programs, platforms, modules, propulsion projects, software organizations, and advanced engineering teams.
  • Escalate and drive resolution of critical technical conflicts impacting vehicle performance, cost, timing, quality, or manufacturing readiness.
  • Govern technical decision-making and change management processes at program level.
  • Oversee resolution of technical issues identified during digital builds, prototype builds, manufacturing trials, and launch activities.
  • Oversee vehicle technical composition, configuration management, and complexity optimization across the program.
  • Experience working within global automotive organizations and matrix environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in automotive engineering, vehicle development, and program management within the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional vehicle development programs in a global environment.
  • Strong understanding of the vehicle development lifecycle, from concept and design through industrialization and launch.
