We are now expanding our Energy Practice through a Partner model designed for experienced search professionals and senior industry relationship-builders who want to build a focused practice with the support of an established executive search platform.

This is not a traditional recruiting job. This is a Partner opportunity.

OneSource combines deep industry experience with recruiting operations, research support, delivery infrastructure, and in-house technology, including homegrown AI-enabled sourcing, market intelligence, and recruiting workflow tools.

Our goal is to help Partners build stronger client relationships, execute searches more effectively, improve delivery productivity, and optimize practice-level P&L performance.

We are looking for Partners who want to grow with technology, use modern recruiting infrastructure, and build a profitable Energy search practice over time.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Executive Search Partner – Energy Practice to help grow our presence across Oil & Gas, Energy Services, EPC, and related energy markets.

The ideal candidate is an experienced search, staffing, or energy-sector relationship leader with deep market credibility, strong client relationships, and the ability to grow a profitable practice.

You will have the opportunity to leverage OneSource’s established market presence, client history, recruiting operations, research resources, delivery support, and in-house AI-enabled tools while building your own book of business and managing practice performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow executive search and professional recruiting engagements within the Energy market.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Identify new client opportunities and expand existing relationships.
  • Lead client intake, search strategy, candidate assessment, and offer negotiations.
  • Partner with recruiting and research teams to execute searches.
  • Own revenue growth, gross margin, profitability, and overall practice performance for your book of business and practice area.
  • Use technology, data, AI-enabled tools, research, and recruiting operations to improve productivity, delivery quality, and P&L performance.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Energy Practice.

Ideal Background

  • 10+ years of executive search, professional recruiting, staffing, or energy-sector business development experience.
  • Existing relationships within Oil & Gas, Energy Services, EPC, or adjacent energy markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships and generate revenue opportunities.
  • Experience growing a book of business, practice area, client portfolio, or market vertical.
  • Understanding of revenue, gross margin, delivery performance, and practice-level economics.
  • Strong consultative and relationship-building skills.
  • Interest in using technology, AI-enabled tools, research, and operational systems to improve practice performance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a practice, not just hold a job.
  • Comfort operating in a performance-based Partner model.

Partner Model & Compensation

This is a performance-based Partner opportunity with upside tied to revenue generation, client expansion, delivery performance, profitability, and long-term practice growth.

Expected first-year earnings potential: up to $300,000+, based on experience, existing relationships, revenue generation, client expansion, and practice performance.

Long-term earning potential may be significantly higher as the Partner builds a larger book of business and practice platform.

Final compensation structure is being reviewed with advisory input and will be discussed directly with qualified candidates.

Location

Houston, TX preferred.

Candidates based in Greater Houston or with strong Houston-based Energy/Oil & Gas relationships are strongly preferred. Remote flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates with a proven Energy-sector network.
