POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Inside Sales Specialist – Oleochemicals plays a critical role in driving profitable growth within Acme-Hardesty’s Oleochemicals Commercial Division. This position is responsible for managing and growing a defined portfolio of customer accounts, owning day-to-day sales activity, and supporting Regional Sales Managers. The role is designed to increase customer engagement, improve responsiveness, and enhance gross margin performance while enabling the field sales team to focus on larger strategic accounts.
RESPONSIBILITES AND ACCOUNTABILITES:
- Own all day-to-day sales activity for assigned customer accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on pricing, availability, lead times, order status, and documentation needs.
- Resolve routine customer issues related to service, delivery, invoicing, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity data, ensuring account activity, forecasts, and next steps are updated in a timely manner.
- Own quote generation and pricing for assigned accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all quotes, orders, and customer activity while maintaining current quotations, service levels, and margin targets.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans for assigned accounts in coordination with the Regional Sales Managers.
- Monitor account growth and transition accounts to a Regional Sales Manager once an account exceeds the annual GM$ contribution threshold, providing a complete internal handoff.
- Provide support to all Regional Sales Managers as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS DESIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of inside sales, account management, or customer-facing experience, preferably within oleochemicals, specialty chemicals, or ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactional priorities.
- Solid understanding of customer service, order management, and sales execution processes.
- Persuasive communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
