At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and curious Junior Process Engineer who is eager to develop in a dynamic project environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience across all project phases— from early design to commissioning —while contributing to cutting-edge facilities in biotechnology, chemical API production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key duties of the role include

  • Support the concept, basic, and detailed design of pharmaceutical and biotech plants
  • Contribute to the preparation of User Requirement Specifications (URS), tender documentation, technical specifications and design documents
  • Assist in projects from design through implementation to commissioning and qualification
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Learn “on the job” with guidance from experienced colleagues across our local and international network

Here's what you'll need

  • Degree in Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related field
  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech environment is a plus
  • Motivation to learn and grow in a project-based environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments
  • Fluent in German and/or French, along with fluent English

As part of our ongoing growth, we are continuously getting to know talented professionals who may be a great fit for upcoming projects. While project timelines may vary, we welcome early applications and will reach out as soon as suitable opportunities arise.

We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.

Your application experience is important to us, and we’re keen to adapt to make every interaction even better. If you require further support or reasonable adjustments with regards to the recruitment process (for example, you require the application form in a different format), please contact the team via Careers Support.
