Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Ampla Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations and deliver patient-centered care with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and community impact. The PIC ensures daily pharmacy functions align with federal and state regulations while supporting integrated care alongside healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, EPA, and CSA regulations
  • Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and reporting of medications, including controlled substances
  • Lead and mentor pharmacy staff and ensure effective, secure pharmacy workflows
  • Provide immunizations, medication counseling, and patient education
  • Implement and manage programs based on community health needs
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and secure documentation systems
  • Serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and healthcare teams

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacist License in California
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmacy laws, inventory management, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; English proficiency required
  • Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation
