Description

Carrefour, a leading global retailer, is seeking a proactive GCP Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our cloud environment. Based in Hong Kong and reporting directly to the Integration & Cloud Specialist, you will act as the primary guardian of our Google Cloud space. This role is vital for supporting engineering teams by ensuring high availability, robust security, and cost-efficiency across our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Resources Management: Deploy, scale, and maintain containerized environments using Cloud Run and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Database Administration: Manage Cloud SQL and other database services, ensuring robust backup strategies, high availability, and performance tuning
  • API & Connectivity Architecture: Execute end-to-end VPC setup, including subnetting, firewall rules, and specialized Netgis setup and deployment
  • FinOps & Cost Optimization: Drive cloud efficiency by monitoring spend, implementing right-sizing recommendations, and managing committed use discounts
  • Security & IAM: Maintain a "Least Privilege" security posture through rigorous IAM role management and organization policy enforcement
  • Deployment & Automation: Support CI/CD pipelines and utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent environment provisioning and maintenance automation.

Required Skills and Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fiel
  • 3–5 years of experience in cloud systems administration, infrastructure management, or a related role
  • Mandatory Certification: Google Professional Cloud Administrator or Architect certification.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP Compute (Cloud Run, K8S) and Networking (VPC, Netgis deployment, Cloud Load Balancing).
  • Proven management of Cloud SQL and database lifecycle operations.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts, DevOps frameworks, and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of FinOps concepts and GCP Billing/Cost Management tools.
  • Programming experience with teams using various IDEs, such as Python in VS or building AI agents in Google AI Studio. (Preferable)
