As a Quality Assurance Specialist for our new food business unit, you will establish and safeguard an uncompromising standard of safety, compliance, and culinary excellence that is unparalleled in Asia.
The Role
- Establish and champion food safety, legal compliance, and quality standard frameworks across all properties.
- Manage product specifications, including ingredient validation, shelf-life controls, and rigorous allergen declarations.
- Systematically track and audit product certificates, laboratory test reports, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections across all storage sites to ensure proper handling, strict hygiene, and temperature controls.
- Audit and monitor third-party logistics (3PL) partners to guarantee an uncompromised cold chain from transit to boutique floor.
- Develop food safety policies and lead structured compliance training for internal teams and external partners.
- Execute deep-dive root cause investigations for customer complaints, physical contamination (foreign objects), or safety incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Lead risk assessments and orchestrate smooth product recall procedures if required.
- Conduct comprehensive supplier facility site audits and ongoing vendor quality checks.
- Act as the operational gatekeeper to vet compliance prior to new premium product launches.
- Direct and synchronize comprehensive pest control frameworks across all multi-site operations and warehouses.
- Collaborate with creative partners and external brands to mitigate operational and health risks during high-profile pop-up concepts and retail activations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years or above of Quality Assurance experience, ideally within a luxury hospitality group, premium food retail environment, or high-end consumer-facing brand.
- Proven experience managing multi-site distribution networks and 3PL logistics pipelines.
- Mandatory advanced certifications in food safety management (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, or BRC GS).
- Deep technical understanding of local regulatory food laws, labeling compliance, and international cold-chain standards.
- Strong competence in designing risk-modeling metrics, raw ingredient tracing, and manufacturing facility audits.
- Advanced analytical ability to perform root cause analysis on product failures and handle delicate safety activations.
- Refined communication skills to partner seamlessly with creative marketing teams, external luxury vendors, and corporate operators.
- A cost-conscious approach focused on reducing wastage, protecting margins, and eliminating hidden costs linked to quality breakdown.
