Main Purpose of the role: Provide Business Critical Data to the Business, Supported by data Governance structure and BCPS Principles.Implementation and embedment of Data Quality requirements as stated in policies and guidelines.
Role Responsibilities
Data Preparation
- Identify and assess data from identified data sources.
- Assess validation, clean and filter data against identified criteria
- Assessment of how data packaged into correct format for further analysis or delivery
- Data definitions, Model and Governance.
Analysis and reporting
- Collate BCBS239 requirements and prepare written reports at various committee
- Identify risks and controls
- Document process followed to determine compliance and embedment across the RDARR scope.
- Conduct impact assessments
Enhancement of system and processed
- Continuous enhancement of current processes for efficiencies and automation to meet BCBS requirements
Role Requirements
- BCom or BSc Computer Science / Information Systems
- BTech in Information Technology
- Risk or Audit qualifications (advantage)
- More than 2 years’ experience working in Risk, Audit, Compliance or Data Governance (IT or Data related portfolios)
- SQL skills
- BI Methodologies would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Data warehouse
- Knowledge and understanding of African Bank policies, processes, systems and procedures
- Liaison skills
