The Demand Analyst is responsible for estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. In this position, you will be a competent contact person for various departments at our corporate headquarters, our locations, warehouses and customers.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Develop effective forecast models based on sales and category trends and demand patterns.

• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.

• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

• Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.

• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.

• Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.

• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Responsible for the preparation of defined reports on forecast quality and forecast development towards our sales departments and suppliers

• Creating presentations based on ad hoc evaluations on the availability of goods and thereby deriving recommendations for action for the specialist department

• Responsible for the further development of the KPI system, the reporting and the quality of the forecasting processes in close cooperation with the IT department

• Acting as a key user for the Demand IT system

• Participating as a subject matter expert in various demand and supply chain management projects

What you should bring along:

• A degree with a focus on supply chain, controlling or a similar focus

• A relevant work experience in a similar position as well as experience in contributing to projects

• Solid background in quality improvement and process audit

• Competent in strategic and operational planning as well as controlling and coordinating all purchasing and supply chain activities

• Capable of guaranteeing the success of the ordering process in SAP UDF (Unified demand forecast ), in view of the demand forecast, stock level and shelf-life of fresh products

• Function as interface between Category Management, 3PL Logistics and Suppliers

• Power query knowledge highly desirable

• Solid skills in Statistics, Power BI,Excel, MS-Office, SAP (UDF & F&R)or similar ERP
