Description

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in leading client engagements, delivering commercially focused tax solutions, and helping develop the next generation of tax professionals. Working with fast-growing private groups, mid-market businesses, and ASX-listed companies, you'll advise on complex tax matters while building trusted client relationships.

This is more than a Manager role.

It's an opportunity to work directly with exceptional clients, learn from some of the best minds in the profession, and build a career that reflects your ambition rather than a predetermined hierarchy. You'll join an inclusive and collaborative team where your ideas are valued, your development is prioritised, and your impact is visible.

At HNP, you'll be empowered to take ownership and make an impact. We encourage bold thinking and provide the training, mentoring, and technology needed to help our people succeed. We are open to candidates from both Sydney and Melbourne.

  • Contribute to thought leadership, technical publications, and client presentations.
  • Develop strong client relationships and become a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Stay ahead of legislative developments and emerging tax issues.

About You

You are a technically strong tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with clients.

  • 4+ years experience in corporate tax advisory within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of Australian corporate tax legislation and principles.
  • Excellent analytical and technical research skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly and commercially.

Build Something Different with Tax at HNP

Our mission is to create the pre-eminent independent professional services firm in Australia - a firm that our people are genuinely proud to be part of.

We don't believe the traditional professional services model is the only way. We have built a modern, multidisciplinary practice that brings together accounting-qualified and legally qualified professionals to deliver integrated tax advisory and compliance services. We combine deep technical expertise with commercial thinking, innovation, and a collaborative culture where talented people can thrive.

We work on high-impact, technically challenging projects - not volume work. Our clients include fast-growing private groups, leading mid-market businesses, and ASX-listed organisations facing complex tax issues and strategic decisions.

If you are commercially minded, curious, and excited by the opportunity to help build something exceptional, this is a career opportunity that can accelerate your growth and broaden your impact.

All successful candidates must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.

We are managing this recruitment internally and respectfully ask that agencies do not submit candidate profiles for this opportunity.
