Chief Scientific Officer | Global Biologics Platform | India Relocation Opportunity
Global Life Science Hub is partnering exclusively with a rapidly scaling biopharmaceutical organisation on one of the most ambitious biologics leadership mandates in the market today.
This is a rare opportunity for a scientifically accomplished executive to take ownership of a large-scale biologics and biosimilars platform with significant commercial backing, established global infrastructure, and aggressive long-term growth plans already underway.
The organisation is targeting over 30 new molecules and is now seeking a Chief Scientific Officer to shape the future direction of R&D, innovation, process sciences, analytical development, regulatory strategy, and broader platform expansion.

- Define and execute the long-term scientific strategy across biologics and biosimilars development
- Lead global R&D functions spanning Process Sciences, Analytical Development, Cell Line Development, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including bispecifics, ADCs and AI-driven innovations in cloning and process optimisation
- Drive pipeline prioritisation, platform strategy and scientific decision-making at executive level
- Support regulatory strategy and interactions with FDA, EMA and CDSCO
- Partner with executive leadership on licensing opportunities, investment priorities and broader growth initiatives
- Build, mentor and inspire high-performing scientific leadership teams across international sites
Experience/Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent within Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related scientific discipline
- Extensive leadership experience within biologics and/or biosimilars development environments
- Deep scientific understanding across biologics development, CMC, analytical sciences, formulation, process development, and regulatory strategy
- Proven experience leading or influencing complex biologics development programmes from early development through late stage/commercialisation
- Experience operating across multiple cross-functional scientific teams within matrixed R&D organisations
- Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary scientific organisations across global programmes
- Prior international exposure within US and/or European regulated environments
Location:
This position is based full-time in Western India.
We are particularly interested in speaking with globally experienced biologics leaders currently based in the US or Europe who are excited by the opportunity to help shape and scale a world-class scientific organisation during a major phase of international growth.
For the right individual, this is an opportunity to build a genuine long-term legacy within one of the world’s fastest-evolving biopharmaceutical markets.
