Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to take ownership of building and scaling complex backend platforms. This role is central to shaping system architecture, guiding engineering practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of reliable and high-performance software solutions.
You will play a key role from concept through production—partnering with product and engineering teams to define technical strategy, design robust systems, and lead execution across the entire development lifecycle. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and strong collaboration skills.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend systems that support multiple products and services
- Translate business needs into clear, well-structured technical solutions and architectural blueprints
- Drive end-to-end system delivery, including development, testing, deployment, and post-release operations
- Own architectural decisions and ensure consistency, performance, and resilience across the platform
- Guide engineering teams on coding standards, best practices, and modern development methodologies
- Oversee deployment and infrastructure strategies using containerization and orchestration technologies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Infrastructure to deliver high-impact solutions
- Take accountability for production stability, including incident management, root cause analysis, and preventative improvements
- Mentor engineers and contribute to building a strong technical culture
What We’re Looking for
- Solid experience (5+ years) developing backend systems in production environment
- Proven ability to architect and deliver distributed, microservices-based systems at scale
- Strong background in system design, including multi-service and platform-level architecture
- Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies for managing distributed applications
- Proficiency in Java and familiarity with additional languages such as Python, PHP, or JavaScript frameworks
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases (e.g., MySQL), including schema design and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of software development best practices: testing, code quality, CI/CD, and version control
- Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience troubleshooting production issues across multiple layers of the stack and coordinating resolution effort
