About the Project
Kabta Towers is a landmark mixed-use development in Basra, Iraq, representing one of the most ambitious urban developments in the country. The project includes five high-rise residential towers integrated with commercial facilities, educational amenities, extensive infrastructure networks, smart building systems, and community-focused public spaces.
The development is being delivered in accordance with international standards of engineering, quality, sustainability, and operational excellence, establishing a new benchmark for modern urban development in Iraq.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and successful delivery of the Kabta Towers Development.
Reporting directly to senior management, the role requires full ownership of all project phases from initiation through construction and final handover. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure that project objectives related to scope, quality, cost, schedule, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall execution of the project from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Develop and maintain project execution strategies, master schedules, resource plans, and reporting systems.
• Coordinate all project stakeholders including consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, delays, and technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with approved budgets, contractual requirements, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee project controls including planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage contractual matters including variations, claims, procurement activities, and negotiations.
• Lead project meetings and provide structured executive reporting to senior management.
• Ensure full implementation of HSEQ standards across all project activities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s Degree is an advantage.
• PMP certification is highly preferred. Additional certifications in Project Controls, Contract Management, Risk Management, or Construction Management are an advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction and project management. Minimum 7 years in senior project leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing large-scale / major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international construction standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong capabilities in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and project controls systems.
• Experience in procurement, contract administration, and claims management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
