As our team keeps growing, we are looking to hire an Energy Market Analyst, based in Milan. In the case of exceptionally well-fitting profiles, also fully remote work can be considered.
In this role, you will get to work with international clientele and contacts. You will enhance your analytics skills and develop your profile as a well-versed energy sector expert with detailed knowledge of markets across the globe. The role will include:
- Understanding the fundamentals of power markets operations, drivers of power prices, and how energy policies can affect clients’ operations and strategic decisions on a detailed level
- Understanding grid availability, power grid connection processes, connection timelines, grid regulations in different markets
- Performing electricity market and electricity system research to uncover insights that drive strategic recommendations to clients
- Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research findings into informative and easy-to-understand deliverables to our clients
- Continuous collaboration with colleagues and external contacts
- Prospect of involvement in project management, quality control and innovations, knowledge management and guidance of new colleagues
- Understanding client needs and identifying opportunities regarding strategic development, renewable energy procurement and ancillary markets in fast-changing energy markets around the globe
We require you to have:
- Relevant master’s degree, for example energy markets, energy economics, energy policy or other energy-related majors
- Good understanding of power markets (such as price formation, market and physical interdependencies between interconnected national systems)
- Strong interest in energy markets (such as price formation & drivers, policies & regulations)
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset, well-structured and thorough approach to working
- Ability to consistently produce completely clear and neat documents, in terms of structure, language, and formatting
