Key Responsibilities
i) Finance, Accounting and Internal Control
- Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly/annual financial closing process to ensure timely, high-quality reporting in compliance with regional accounting policies and local statutory regulations.
- Operational Oversight & Optimization: Oversee core financial processes (R2R, O2C, P2P) and continuously drive digital transformation, process automation, and best practices.
- Treasury & Risk Management: Monitor cash flow, currency exposure, and net working capital, implementing active measures to optimize working capital management.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Implement and safeguard a robust internal control framework, driving compliance across the organization with statutory, taxation, and customs requirements. Ensure full readiness for internal and external audits
ii) Hands-on FP&A & Business Partnering
- Commercial Co-Pilot: Partner deeply with the General Manager, BU Heads, and Supply Chain to provide profitability analysis, P&L simulation, cost/price controlling, and business case evaluations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct and execute the annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecast, and 5-year planning processes, ensuring seamless cross-functional data consolidation and regional alignment.
- Business Insights: Enhance management reporting by identifying variance trends and translating numbers into actionable strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making.
iii) Tax Governance
- Ensure corporate tax compliance (direct/indirect taxes, VAT, TP documentation) and align with group tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize risks.
iv) Team Leadership & Succession Pipeline
- Team Management: Directly lead a team of 2 experienced accounting personnel, fostering a high-performing and professional accounting service culture.
Required requisites:
i) Experience and qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of well-rounded experience across F&A, FP&A, and business partnering within an MNC environment (Pharma or FMCG sector highly preferred), with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity. Proven track record of moving beyond numbers to influence commercial outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of Taiwan tax laws, accounting principles, budget modeling, and internal controls. Proficiency in local ERP and regional consolidation tools (e.g., Tagetik) is valued.
- Leadership Style: Affirmative but constructive leader with excellent interpersonal skills; able to uphold financial integrity and challenge the status quo while building collaborative, win-win solutions with stakeholders.
- Communication: Fluency in English (spoken and written) with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
