Roles & Responsibilities:

You will:

• Assist in ongoing research related to online advertisements, social networks, and digital platforms.
• Extract data through APIs and manage large-scale datasets.
• Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, validation, and database management.
• Analyze large, distributed datasets (tens of terabytes) in cloud environments.
• Apply data science, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and social network analysis techniques.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Review academic literature, summarize findings, and contribute to research documentation.
• Collaborate with faculty on research projects and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed institution with strong academic performance.
• Prior research or industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) and/or R.
• Experience working with APIs and data extraction pipelines.
• Good understanding of cloud computing environments and distributed systems.
• Experience handling large-scale datasets and big-data workflows.
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and data science workflows.
• Exposure to natural language processing and social network analysis is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, ability to multitask, and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work diligently on repetitive but critical project tasks.
• Strong motivation to pursue research and/or a future PhD.
