[SMT] NLX Application Engineer

【Summary】

This position is responsible for SFS tools

• Be responsible for implementation of new tool at key semiconductor customers.

- Support on-site installation, acceptance, and ramp-up of new X-ray tools at customer side.

- Perform evaluation, recipe setup, optimization, and analysis to ensure performance meets specifications during ramp-up phase.

• Provide customer application support.

- Provide on-site and remote application support to customers and service team.

- Analyze metrology results, identify deviations, and support corrective actions. Prepare and execute on-site tests and proof-of-concept activities.

• Find new applications and increase tool utilization.

- Understand semiconductor process flows, translate customer requirements into applications.

• Collaboration with HQ and Local Service team.

- Work with HQ team to address solutions, recipes, and best practices for semiconductor customers in Taiwan.

- Cooperate with the local service team to resolve complex technical issues and escalations at customer sites.

• - Collect and document customer feedback, feature requests, and application needs, and communicate them to HQ and Product Management.

【Main Task】

Including but not limited to;

• Represent the Carl Zeiss SMT business in Taiwan.

• Basic understanding of X-ray principles and their use in defect inspection or metrology.

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and metrology related specifications.

• Able to support troubleshooting together with service and HQ teams.

• Strong communication skills; able to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

• Customer-oriented, proactive, and willing to take ownership for tasks at customer sites.

• Structured working style and readiness to learn new applications and technologies.

• Proficient in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).

• Provide necessary report / update to relevant stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel between customer fabs as needed.

• Able to work on-site at customer facilities (including in cleanroom environments).

• Periodical training in HQ is required, training period 1 - 3 months depended on the training subject.

• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management

【Education】

• Engineering degree in Physics, Material Science or related technical field.

【Experience】

• 2+ years of working experience in a technical role, preferably in the semiconductor industry (e.g., application, process, integration, or equipment engineering).

• Hands-on experience with X-ray systems is a strong advantage.

【Main tasks】
