Description

The Accounting & Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, taxation, and compliance activities of the company in Lebanon. The role requires a strong financial leader who can ensure accurate financial management, provide strategic insights to senior management, and maintain robust internal controls.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial performance, optimizing cash flow, and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Cost Accounting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity requirements
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide management with actionable insights

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and financing arrangements
  • Monitor working capital and optimize cash utilization
  • Oversee payment schedules, collections, and treasury operations

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain strong internal control systems
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
  • Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies

Taxation

  • Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and filing requirements
  • Coordinate tax planning activities and manage tax audits when required
  • Review VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate tax submissions

Project & Cost Control Support

  • Monitor project costs and profitability
  • Support project teams with financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control
  • Review project financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with operations, procurement, HR, and management teams

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based industries is a must
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an advantage
