The Accounting & Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, taxation, and compliance activities of the company in Lebanon. The role requires a strong financial leader who can ensure accurate financial management, provide strategic insights to senior management, and maintain robust internal controls.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial performance, optimizing cash flow, and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage and oversee all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Cost Accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity requirements
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions
- Conduct variance analysis and provide management with actionable insights
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and financing arrangements
- Monitor working capital and optimize cash utilization
- Oversee payment schedules, collections, and treasury operations
Financial Control & Compliance
- Establish and maintain strong internal control systems
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
Taxation
- Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and filing requirements
- Coordinate tax planning activities and manage tax audits when required
- Review VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate tax submissions
Project & Cost Control Support
- Monitor project costs and profitability
- Support project teams with financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control
- Review project financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with operations, procurement, HR, and management teams
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based industries is a must
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an advantage
