JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement and External Relations, the Senior Director of Advancement for Planned Giving is a frontline fundraising position responsible for leading, growing, and stewarding a robust planned giving program at Adelphi University. The Director will serve as the institution's subject matter expert on planned and deferred gifts, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and proactive donor engagement to build a sustainable pipeline of legacy commitments.
This role involves managing a dedicated portfolio of donors and prospects, guiding them through the process of making legacy commitments-and when applicable, major and blended gifts-and overseeing the administration of estate gifts to honor donor intentions while ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of bequests. The Senior Director will be responsible for strengthening Adelphi's legacy society and building planned giving into the overall culture of philanthropy across the university.
SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $148,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.
