WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Automation Engineer will lead the design, programming, and commissioning of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to automate manufacturing processes, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and that they meet safety and quality standards. Analyze and optimize automated processes to reduce downtime and enhance product quality. Implement improvements based on data analysis and troubleshooting results. Manage multiple automation projects from conception through implementation, including budgeting, timeline, vendor coordination, and compliance with project specifications.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automation
Demonstrated track record of design using PLC, SCADA, and CAD software packages
Proven experience in project management
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience with robotic controls and programming
Working knowledge of quality systems required with a familiarity of medical regulations preferred
This role is highly technical in nature. Requires in-depth understanding of the machine upgrade and automation system functionality and an ability to identify and solve process problems. Matrix working relationships across the plant and beyond.
