QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Perfetti Van Melle, one of the largest multinational companies in the confectionary market, owner of leading local and global brands like Vivident, Mentos, Chupa Chups and Big Babol would like to employ “Packaging Development Engineer”.
Qualifications required for this position are as follows;
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Minimum 2 years of experience in packaging (preferred)
- SAP knowledge is an asset
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proactive team player with good negotiation abilities
Responsibilities;
- Take an active role in feasibility studies and line implementation phases of new projects.
- Ensure on-time packaging development in line with project timelines, collaborating with local and global stakeholders.
- Manage packaging development activities considering sustainability and productivity targets, and analyze packaging materials especially for new developments.
- Follow new trends and technologies, prepare technical documentation (drawings, specifications), and coordinate with Procurement for cost-related activities.
- Create, update, and revise packaging recipes in SAP and related systems, and prepare procedures for new or modified packaging lines.
- Define packaging laboratory standards, control parameters, and lead Quality and Food Safety tasks within the scope of responsibility.
