Working with the local team and reporting to the Global Payment Methods Manager in Mango’s HQ, this role is the key local point of contact for all payment methods-related matters— from managing relationships with banks and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to ensuring cost efficiency, delivering the best payment experience to our customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary local contact for external stakeholders including banks and PSPs, maintaining strong and productive working relationships.
  • Coordinate and follow up POS installation processes for new store openings or operational needs
  • Monitor and manage operational processes related to physical POS and online payment systems
  • Coordinate the negotiation of market-specific agreements with payment partners, with the strategic support of the central manager and the local team.
  • Perform monthly monitoring of central bank limits versus agreed fee structures, identifying discrepancies and escalating as needed.
  • Validate and process monthly invoices from payment partners, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual terms.
  • Produce and maintain Turkey-specific payment reports on a monthly basis for internal reporting and decision-making.
  • Conduct recurring reviews of paid fees versus agreed rates and budget targets, driving cost discipline.
  • Define, negotiate, and follow up on payment partner (PP)-specific agreements, ensuring terms remain competitive and compliant.
  • Coordinate with payment partners to define and roll out marketing campaigns, managing end-to-end follow-up.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in payments, financial operations, or a related field — ideally within retail, e-commerce, banking, or a Payment Service Provider (PSP).
  • Solid understanding of the Turkish payments landscape, including local banking regulations and the PSP ecosystem.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience monitoring financial metrics, fees, and budgets.
  • Proven ability to manage external relationships and support commercial negotiations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple recurring tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Turkish and English (required for interaction with central teams). Spanish is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
  • Dynamic, proactive and collaborative team player, with a problem-solving mindset and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
