NovaNav is an early-stage digital health company building an AI platform that automates pre- and post-operative patient coordination, clearances, medication holds, recovery check-ins, risk flags, so surgical teams stop chasing patients and start catching problems earlier.

We work with hospitals, health systems, and ASCs operating in increasingly value-based environments, where avoidable cancellations, readmissions, and post-op complications hit both outcomes and margins.

The Role

We are bringing on a small group of practicing cardiovascular surgeons and cardiothoracic surgical leaders as Strategic Advisors to help shape the product, the go-to-market, and the company.

You will help us:

• Pressure-test product direction against real cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical workflow realities
• Identify opportunities to improve patient readiness, perioperative coordination, and post-discharge recovery
• Help define monitoring pathways for high-risk surgical patients and potential complications
• Navigate value-based care, reimbursement, and regulatory dynamics
• Make warm introductions to hospital, health system, and cardiovascular surgery decision-makers

Who we are looking for:

• 10+ years in cardiovascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, hospital leadership, or surgical healthtech
• Currently practicing or recently practicing cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgeons strongly preferred
• Experience with hospital operations, surgical service lines, or payer-provider dynamics
• Familiarity with where digital health tools succeed and fail in complex cardiovascular care environments

Compensation:

Equity-based advisor, scaled to involvement and stage.
