AVP/ Junior Portfolio Manager, Equities

Who You’ll Work With

AllianceBernstein (AB) Taiwan is seeking a Junior Equity Portfolio Manager to support the management of portfolios focused on Taiwan equities. As a member of our investment team, you will work with AllianceBernstein’s global Emerging Markets equity platform, contribute to portfolio construction, performance analysis, client engagement, and the continued strengthening of our Taiwan equity franchise. This role is designed for a high-potential investment professional seeking to build a long-term career in equity portfolio management within a leading global asset management firm. Over time, a successful candidate will take on increasing responsibility in portfolio construction and performance improvement, contribute to articulating a differentiated and repeatable investment process, and build credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Support the management and monitoring of Taiwan-focused equity portfolios, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and risk parameters.
• Apply and deepen understanding of AB’s proprietary quantitative methods to enhance portfolio construction, risk management, and risk-adjusted performance.
• Prepare and deliver clear differentiated presentations to clients and prospects, articulating portfolio strategy, performance drivers and investment insights.
• Collaborate with EM portfolio managers and both quantitative and fundamental analysts to evaluate market trends, company fundamentals and sources of investment edge.
• Contribute to documenting and articulating the strategy’s investment philosophy and repeatable process.
• Maintain accurate portfolio records and contribute to reporting, compliance, and performance attribution.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-5 years of experience in portfolio management and/ or research.
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with current market trends and regulatory environment in Taiwan.
• Experience as a quantitative analyst; fundamental research experience is also desirable
• Experience with quantitative portfolio management techniques and analytical tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients professionally.
• Strong analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and interest in equity markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
